Cost of Programs

Registration Fee

All volunteers have to pay a registration fee of One Hundred and Fifty Dollars ($150 USD). This money goes to:

  • Administrative costs
  • Booklet of information about Ghana and your placement
  • Volunteer Corps Organisation T-shirt

Program Fees

Financing our organisation is by foreign volunteers and yearly dues of the local members. Foreign volunteers form the backbone of our programs, because of this we try to offer very affordable prices to our applicants. A one week program costs Three Hundred Dollars ($300 USD) and each extra week costs an additional $75 USD. This money goes to:

  • Buying raw materials like cement, steel or other supplies to carry out our programs
  • Feeding of volunteers during the home-stay period
  • Staff salaries and other adminstrative costs
  • Transportation from the airport and to your project
  • Accommodation for the duration of volunteers home-stay

Foreign volunteer turn out is not fixed so that there is the need to save some money for future projects if there are few or no foreign volunteers.

We would like to make it clear, that a volunteer does not need to pay the program fee until he or she is in Ghana. This is to make sure that the volunteer sees his or her money put to good use. If there are any questions which you wish to ask, forward them to our email and they will be addressed
